Noise Entertainment System App Reviews

58 add

Does what it says on the tin.

Works flawlessly on both iPhone 3G (iOS 4) and iPhone 4 (iOS 6). No stuttering, easy to add new files, great sound. There were some bugs with compressed files when I first bought it, they were fixed one update later. :-)

Horrible

This app is horrible. I cant believe I spent my money on this crap!

Phenomenal

I dont know why the reviewer below me spazzed out but this app is excellent for listening to the supported consoles music. I would love to see the ability to isolate sound channels in a future release!

Great sounding chip tune player.

Im very happy with the sound quality of this player. Well done!

Amazing app.

The only thing left to do is put out an iPad version and pretty pretty pretty pleassseeeee emulate the 32x extra PCM channels Im dying to hear my Chaotix on here!!

Amazing!

A hole has been filled in my life. Every 8-bit child needs this on their phones! Would love an iPhone 5 / iPad version, but Ill take this! Seriously if you are even thinking about it, buy it!

Almost perfect

Sounds great, but when you leave and come back to the app, it goes to the music select instead of to currently playing. Seems like a weird behavior.

Great!

Great app. Please add support for HES files, so TurboGrafx 16 tracks can be played.

Once you reach perfection, no need to improve it

This app does its job perfectly as described. And the last bugfix edition last year fixed the memory leaks. Even though this app was designed for iOS 3.0 it still works amazingly in iOS 7. Im glad I own it and use it to relive that wonderful music of the past.

Needs Update

Love the app, but it’s lacking some features. Please consider these for an update: - Lock Screen Play/Pause - Bluetooth Play/Pause - Ability to adjust the default length of song (Some SNES songs immediately fade out) - Mute/Solo Sound Channels - Some sort of preferences file that lets me rename “Track 1, Track 2…”

Yeah, never mind.

It’s been over two years since I left my stellar review for this app and now I can’t say I recommend it anymore. In fact, I’ve given up on seeing an update for this ever again. I just got a 5s yesterday and the fact that this still isn’t updated for 4” screens, let alone iOS 7, is a significant demerit to this. I guess I’m going back to the weird, giant app because there’s literally nothing else.

No Support for Extensions [NSF]

Its a great app at playing NES files (as thats what its advertised to do) but nsfs with extension chips like MMC5, VRC7, VRC6, etc do not work. I am disappointed in this as majority of the NSFs Ive got use expansions. Good at what it does but it could do more. Please add support! Thank you!

Needs universal binary

Needs to be updated. No attention has been paid to this app since before retina screens.

Wonderful.

Id love it if it updated for iOS 7 (or 8 soon), but its still wonderful. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.

Not iOS 8 compatible

Hasnt been updated in a long time. Crashes on iOS 8 when trying to add new songs to library. Please update!!!

Amazing!

This app is quirky, but I am giving it 5 stars anyway because it allows me to listen to all my favorite old school video games. So much joy!!

Inconsistent

Crashes on open after loading new music on iPhone 6, 8.4.1 Kind of a bummer, used to run relatively smooth, but cant recommend anymore unless theres a fix.

Superb but a couple of things...

Works smoothly and sounds great! Only complaints for me are lack of an ability to change artwork for albums and I cannot create new playlists from prompt. Pop up wont allow me to type so cant progress further. Doubt there will be an update but wish it would as I really enjoy this app.
