Noise Entertainment System App Reviews

Nice ^_^

The previous issues with library updates has been fixed so download away!

floored

Ive dealt with plenty of NSF and GBS players in my day for PC/Mac, but this one was perfect on the first try! Really nice layout and all the features are great. Highly recommended if youre really into retro tunes ^_^

Fantastic Program

NoiseEs blew my expectations for what an NSF player on iOS would be right out of the water. It may as well have been written by Apple. The attention to detail in the UI is simply that good. If you know what an NSF is and own an iOS device, this program is a must-have.

Best App

I love this app. Thank you so much for making this. Really the best way to listen to old game music.

So freaking awesome

Okay. The developer fails to mention the depths of how awesome this app is. It is essentially the iPod app if it played GBS and NSF files. It has all the same features. It catalogs tracks by built in metadata. It fades out in between tracks or loops them. It plays and controls from the background. Its classy and it works quite well. You wont be disappointed. Wish list: Would love to see ability to import album art. Right now it seems to randomly cycle through built-in images. Also would love to be able to set track duration per track. Endless mode is awesome, but so is the fading between tracks and it would be nice to have a little more control between endless and 1:30 per track. Some tracks get annoying after 10 seconds.

Um, yes please!

This is the perfect app. In both aesthetic and function NoiseES embodies everything that is great about chiptunes. Buy it now! It could use an alternative to iTunes File Sharing for adding to the library, but its a minor annoyance.

Appreciate the continued updates!

Its now perfect - it supports SNES and Genesis even!

Fantastic app, hours of fun

NoiseES uses the same great interface as iOSs Music app, so its instantly easy to use. Adding music is insanely easy after this update -- simply download a file using Safari and youll be prompted to add it to your library. No iTunes File Sharing needed! The developer even includes some great-sounding tracks from his iOS games.

NoiseES: The iVGM Leader

We need more apps like this!!! It is an instant legend in my eyes!!! A tag-editor, equalizer, frame-rate (fps) adjuster and the option to add files from Mobile Safari (even in ZIP/RAR) instead of having to use iTunes would be really nice!!!

A must have!

If youre a game nerd like myself then you want this app! Hearing all the game soundtracks again takes me back.

Great but one major flaw

If you have shuffle turned on, after it switches between consoles a couple times the app crashes. It seems to be after 2 changes it crashes on the third

Holy Smokes!!

I never review apps...ever! This is an epic app! I have a ton of video game music and it fills so much space on my iPhone that I could use for other things. This app allows me to listen all of my music at a fraction of the memory! I had the start up glitch that is said can happen, but I uninstalled and reinstalled and never had the problem again. Shawn Inman...youre my new best friend!

Pretty much the best thing ever

I use it all the time to listen to the uncharted waters soundtrack!

Basically amazing

Something every retro nerd should get

Great, but can take up a lot of space...

"NoisES" is an amazing app, and does an excellent job of playing music files for classic games. However, Ive noticed that after adding Super NES and Genesis sound files to NoisES, the app starts taking up much more space (viewable under System Settings -> General -> Usage). NES and Game Boy sound files dont take up too much space, so perhaps it has something to do with how SNES and Genesis sounds are compressed (RAR/RSN and .7z). With about 40 NES and Game Boy sound files in my collection, the app takes up about 15 MB. After adding SNES and Genesis sounds, the app takes up over 300 MB. Other than this one issue, the app is flawless.

Great app! Needs delete function.

This app works beautifully! No problems! Although, Id like to make a suggestion. Could you add a delete function to the app so I can delete songs that I dont want? Thank you!

Awesome

Amazing app, it plays all the classics smoothly and is totally worth the money!

A must-have for retro-game music enthusiasts!

I cant say how much I appreciate this apps existence. I never got around to using GNSF to convert individual tracks to .wav, then do another conversion to .mp3. Now I dont have to, and neither do you! Now with multiple consoles supported, I can load up a whole lot more music as well. Despite some of the reports of the SNES and Genesis tracks taking up a bit of space, it doesnt bug me because the 64 GB iPhone has space to burn (at least for right now). Yes, its two bucks. Shell out for this app, and you, too, will see that it is worth it!

Great app, but stability issues need to be addressed. (v1.3)

This is really a nice program, but it could be better if it was more stable and had better feedback as to what the application is doing at start-up. The consistent crashing after adding newer files renders the application unusable.

Nice App + Suggestion

Nice app. The only thing it should include is the option the delete the album directly from the iPhone. When the user slides his finger left or right, a red Delete button will appear. Tapping that button will delete the album completely. Just a suggestion. Apples Music/iPod app has that option to delete the songs directly from the iOS device.
